I will not ever watch a beauty pageant again my life ... this was one of the horrible beauty pageants I've watched in years. Wasted my time and sleep ( I could have had watched other shows or use the time to do other things)

What the hell is wrong with the telecast for Ms world
from 15 delegates, then cut it down to 5 delegates automatically, they didn't even show swimsuit competition nor evening gown , which is the interesting part in any competition. Instead they were showing some clips..clips of social involvement. This show is not about ms world anymore, its about how to be able to help south africa. Also, one thing I didn't like is that they keep on showing entertainment that is not entertainment, but its just a bunch of guys singing, and that's it.Won't it be better if they asked Cirque de Soleil to perform. I still prefer the old format. I prefer when they would ask sensible and meaningful questions, rather than " Why would the judge choose you to be Ms World?" ( and I thought this was just the warm up question )
South africa's answer was very arrogant. I didnt like her answer one bit. She thinks highly of how she was in the top 5. ( I think it was just a courtesy , that she'd be included since it was their host country )
I really like Trinidad and tobago's answer, but she was overshadowed by India, but I really could not comprehend how Ms Russia won. And yes, they did not show the criteria for judging. and they did not show any scores ( suspicious ) ..

what the hell is wrong with the camera ( the audience keeps on standing taking photos, while the camera is zooming in, a really bad angle), and the
whatever happened to the audio system ? a faulty mic.. and also, the stage is cheap, the audience should be far away from the stage. I am never ever going to watch Ms World. It just wasted my time watching it and I should have watched other meaningful show. Seriously, Geesh. And they crown Ms Russia because her only answer was " I want to help the people " -- oooh the magic words similar to "World peace " ( that if that's what you answer, you will automatically )

the whole thing was a like a joke. I will never look at any beauty pageants ever again. I guess, I just hope Ms Universe will be ok. I wish that the quality of beauty pageants remain the same quality as it was during the early 90s.

Watching Sleeping dictionary, never thought that I would be watching it halfway. Somehow at some parts of the movie, i want to know what will happen next, but then again, the thrill somehow is gone because of the commercials and that the succeeding scenes not interesting anymore. I know they cut a lot of scenes... the story is .. err.. somehow incomprehensible. The plot is so like the movie Pocahontas but an R-rated version ( oh yea, they took out most of "the scene".

Watching that Going All the Way - music video, makes me really sick! The video did have a lot of sexual innuendos and it's really not suitable for mainstream ( not that I preach conservatism). I admire True Blood's opening credits, they fare a lot better, even with those sexual innuendo .That was art, this was just plain exploitation of sex on screen. I anticipated for the music video thinking that they'll give some creative thought for the song. I pretty much like the song ( and I know what the message conveys ) but they could have turn the MTV into something more meaningful.
I will also not look at pomegranate that way again. Geesh. Is this what they want to convey to the 13-year old these days! I wouldn't mind my 13-year old sibling/kid( if ever I got one ) watching True Blood opening sequence, but never this kind.

That was soooo childish. Never expected that he be doing the same thing.of all the things he done, this one is far out crazy !

attempt to bite her neck and then move back and say "lets just leave it to the imagination of the audience. *and chuckles sheepishly.and would go into the role of Edward Cullen.."Did you think, i was serious .."

If he pulled something like that I would applaud him, but then again, it went awry otherwise ( well on my opinion ) He could have handled it suavely. Oh well... it will be but a month before I can watch Twilight here..

Some other thoughts on Robert Pattinson , he can't handle interviews that well. He seems playful but then again, the way he answers is not serious, like he's just saying the first thing that came out of his mind - not putting much careful thought .. hmm.. but i can't blame him on the way he answers to the questions. It's plain silly and crazy questions. pointless even. There are just but a handful of serious questions. ( While listening to the questions, i was like "What the ?!" .. )

As the title suggests, it might have something to do with warewolves. "and I was right". I had the feeling that the next supernatural thing that Bella Swan will be encountering are the
wolves.

The writing of Stephenie Meyer's is vivid and seemingly able to make the characters be alive. Although, am still not sure (in my mind) who will play the part of Aro, Felix, Demitri and others in the movie. ( It won't be too long till they have a sequel and I am pretty sure sequel books are selling like hotcakes. Although, in New Moon, we will have more Jake scene rather than Edward scene ( which seemingly, I am liking somehow). As a result of the less mushy scenes, the book was able to touch some shrouded mystery behind warewolves and vampire. It was able to touch the Volturi and the treaty between the vampires and warewolves in Forks. The imminent danger Bella was faced against, is only Victoria ( James' mate), But in the end, it was of course, back again to Edward and Bella , who made up. ( This has become a romeo and Juliet, a Richard and Ericka scene .. "Ooh my undying love for you.. blah blah blah " ) I couldn' somehow make the character of Edward. At first, i was intrigued by his mysteriousness but when it came to a point that he and Bella got together ( it become OC , arrgggh ) and it somehow ruined my image of vampires ( Thank God for Vampire Knight, it was beautifully written ,sans Kaname and YUuki, that part , I could never EVER accept )

New Moon, in a nutshell, is an aftermath, what if Edward leaves Bella ( for no apparent reason ) for good. what will happen to her life and what will happen to his life. Will they be able to move on. What comes next to Bella? Would have it been better had she not met Edward at all?

Somehow, this book answers those question. As per her writing, I felt that indeed it was meant for teenagers today. Edward is a person that is not flawed. I would have wanted him to be not perfect. ( There isn't a drop dead gorgeous vampire in the world who will fall head over heels with a mortal. He who would wait for eternity for her. He who would protect her from the danger that lie ahead. He who would sacrifice his life to save the girl of her dreams. He who would defy odds just to be with a girl. There isn't anything real on this part, I doubt that there exists such a man in this life! ) I do wonder what Eclipse and Breaking dawn has to offer. I will know in time.

Dunno why i wasted one day of doing nothing except research on Vampire Knight. The vampire in me has awaken. Dunno why i am a sucker for those blood sucker. The earliest memory that I have for vampires was in Sesame Street ( though I don't think that Count Dracula,is counted . the vampire who teach kids to count.. 1 ..mwahaha.. ) . There's also a comedy series, Munsters Today, they definitely made fun of vampire. I used to watch a documentary every Halloween relating to vampires, witches and warewolves.. I remember as a child having those fake vampire fangs ( or was it my brothers ) .. haha.. i dont think i can put them on now , with braces on. i wonder if my retainers can be shaped as a vampire fang..haha.. ( childish thought of things ) .. The first serious series that i watched probably Kindred: The embrace and interview with the vampire. I did not have any qualms nor was i squirmish watching vampires. Ohh.. there's that series.. Fright Night .. and probably some stories from friday the 13th ( no parental guidance over the things that i watch as a child.haha ). The movie, Dead or Alive, was so funny with leslie nielsen .. ooh.memories. For anime, there was Vampire Hunter D, Vampire Princess Miyu, Master of Mosquiton and now.. Vampire knight. Who could also forget, Buffy the vampire slayer and Angel.. yea, vampires have been a part of my tv life. They have been there and I am always curious watching them and never get tired of the stories concerning them. May their kind grow.. haha..

Currently listening to the audiobook of Stephenie Meyer's New Moon. read through Twilight in a 9 hours.
I Thank God for Vampire Knight for giving time and dedication on what it is like for Vampires to exist and not what Stephenie Meyer did ( it brought back Angel and Buffy again.. *sigh* but the way she writes it is really interesting ) .

Already have a feeling what episode 25 would be, i just didnt know that it was Naoki's hometown and not Kotoko's .. haha.. the ending fairly well be paying tribute to Kotoko's mom, with Kotoko's mom signing on the final words. "Zettai happy ni narimasu .." .. I will definitely miss this anime, this anime has grown on me. ( Well, not only the anime, but the manga, and the live action drama ) This series is timeless. It really never fails ( though the series shows that Japanese man can be dominating, has man complex and fairly well , there is a need to subdue the girl -- but the manga, it's quite all right. there's something with the anime and the jdrama, they do not show the soft side in men ( and if they do, it would definitely be subtle )
If this is the ending for the anime, am not happy. If episode 24 was the ending, I would fairly be satisfied. I wouldn't mind repeating the anime once again. ( had already repeated it 4x .. reading the manga, watching jdrama, watching twdrama , and now ,anime.. haha )

What i miss watching without subs ..
the way when Naoki said that he was a failure as a husband, failing to see the failing health of his wife - such a strong word from a fairly composed naoki ( which Yuuki admittedly to like Naoki right now as oppose to before -- that i got it right )
Kotoko looking at her C-Cup boobs that was awfully funny.
the next preview, where in Naoki would say.. "This is not yet the last episode?! I thought this was it..haha "
It was the first time that i've seen Kotoko not get jealous or angry about something. She should have been angry or jealous when Naoki would have to tend to Matsumoto first than her ( aint pregnant ladies that hormonal, and she seemed calm )
Kotoko telling her daughter to make a love letter..haha .

Kotomi is soooo a female Yuuki , definitely got her father's looks .. reminds me when Naoki was dressed up as a girl by his mom..

if kotoko would have a second child, it would now be a boy.. yea, its definitely not that too far, when you think that

- funny scene in the end where Mother and Daughter fight over whose going to see Naoki off.. haha..

- The maternity class, where Naoki dons a preggy outfit ( seeing him carry it , i was LOL )

- flashback scene on how Naoki's love came to be
- Naoki asking his daughter, who do you love most, yoshiya-kun or Papa.. haha..

Question
Why does Kotoko have to accept that fact that Naoki would put his career first and missing out the birth of their child? ( Ok fine, so the scene, they made it in such a way that it was a friend who is in danger and that Naoki has no choice but to perform the surgery on her.. it was such a coincidence, where in all the doctors have gone missing, either on a trip, having another surgery,et al . they did made it a bit more dramatic, but then ..) . I was somehow quite disturbed on how the scene played out. ( I wouldnt miss out the birth of my daughter, for all i care, i would put everything on hold.. )

I hate to say good bye to this anime. it's been a ride. This series has definitely been part of my life, 10 years ago. ( next step, seriously read the manga.. haha, have read, vol.23 and vol.22, dunno about the other parts ) . oh yea, have to read Skip Beat too

I finished Karekano too. it was well worth reading it.I was definitely empathizing with the characters. they were all so real. At first, i've read some spoilers about Yukino getting pregnant, I was actually angry about it a little, why did they have to get her pregnant, and then I began to read the whole thing from the start, I know realize why they need to include that part. It was a necessary evil, to prove a point. It did end well. and on a high note. everyone has closure, including for Asaba.. ( but .. Sakura Arima and Asaba, looks like a May december affair is cooking up , never thought of that one either )

So yea, it was obvious that Yukino would have a daughter. haha. ( women's intuition )
Yukino would have a daughter, Sakura, and 2 boys ( twins ) ..

aww.. kotoko had been so understanding of her husband. I have a feeling that this would happen to them. With Irie not on time at the birth of his daughter ( aww..) because of his responsibilities as a doctor.
Daughter Kotomi was born on the 5th year of their marriage ( and on episode 24 of the series. Time elapsed some 4 years later, after Kotomi grown a bit .. . awww ..)

While watching episode 24, my mind played a bit.. what if something went wrong ( they didnt even give that chills to the audience ) , I wonder how Irie would respond to it ( I didnt want to think about that one, had he lost Kotoko right then and there.. he would have regretted it his whole life... ) but then again, I am sucker for happy endings , and that thought didn't push through, and yes, I am happy for them both ( they've always been a part of me ) Touda Kaoru is such a genius. I really root for every character in the story . Episode 24 was also a revelation, Kinnosuke and Chris are also having a child, Irie's child born 6 mos earlier than Kin-chan.

On some side note, it was really funny when Mother and Daughter was running along the corridors while Papa was going out. it was so cute! Kotoko can be so childish, fighting with her daughter like that, I can't helped but laugh. Naoki can be childish also, asking the question, who the daughter likes, is it papa or mama? haha.. ( but am disliking the dubber for Kotomi, you would love to hate her .. haha )

Yuuki has now more participation in this story. I liked it when yuuki said to his brother, "Brother, you've already changed! .. " " I like what you are right now .. you're cool " ( awww.. brotherly love )

If they stopped at episode 24, it would have been fine, and I wouldn't mind. ( but extending to 2 more episodes.. hmmm.. I wonder if this would be a good ending or a bad ending for itakiss..)

Right now watching episode 24 without subs gave me such an overwhelming feeling. I've never seen Naoki that much worried for Kotoko. even though previous episodes were all patched up, this episode definitely made up for it. I will continue to watch it until the end.

I guess going to Kotoko's hometown was not going to be excluded anymore, judging by the scene. It just took about 9 years from the time they got married.. TKA remained faithful to the manga ( but I dont blame the anime for changing it)

This is definitely a nice anime to watch.Tada Kaoru -san . hontou ni arigato gozaimasu.

Tidbit: Christine Robbins and Nii-san, Hikari of Special A, have one thing in common, they both have the same seiyuu, Yuko Goto ( i guess her specialty is girl with high pitch voice, Christine robbins has that cute voice )

A question suddenly pops in my head, which part of itakiss do I like , before marriage or after marriage.
My answer, before marriage, i felt a lot of tension before marriage. It showed me how the character grew and change.

Well. i could not say that is not one of the best Ghibli movies that I've watched, but I guess, this movie is just ok.
Scnes were pretty much a bore ( having more dialogues than action ) but this is to be expected of a Ghibli movie.
This Ghibli movie have this homely feeling. It feels as if you are with the characters in their endeavor. It touches the human heart. The movie is about a girl who travels to the countryside, while traveling , she remembers her 11 year old self. A lot of things had happen to her, the emotional scars she had as a child, feeling that she's not being cherished. as an adult, she yearned for that sense of belonging and she found that while having a vacation on a farm.

In some points they mirror reality, a reality of a neglected child yearning for that attention and appreciation. It also showed some bitterness in her life. She used the farm to escape and begin anew.

Later in the movie, we see her in a situation where she has to choose, go back to the city and return to that dormant self, or return back to the province and discover true self. ( well a self where fairly much all of actions are appreciated ) ..

I could rate the movie 3 out of 5. The movie is just too boring ( as they drag a lot of scenes ) but the movie's plus is how they wrung the story and tried to connect with the audience. Audience are sure to empathize with Taeko's plight ( as most people in their early pubescent years are often feeling that way .. )

Wall - E is about the last robot on earth whose purpose is to clean Earth's trash. then one day, on this particular day, he finds another robot ( a probe robot , sent to search to some life on Earth, aptly named Eve) from outer space, and he develops a crush on the robot ( probably amazed by what she can do ) and so , day passed by when he would quietly follow her in her daily duties, until he gets noticed by Eve. Wall-E is a teenage Pixar movie, Nemo is better. I expected quite a lot from this movie and I'd expect it to be great. Scenes were a lot dragging ( which they could do without, I almost fell asleep) ,it was trying to be an Old English "almost-silent"film. But overall it was not that bad, it still has some moments, it made us laugh and be touched on what a robot can do for the sake of his loved one. It lists as my #3 movie for pixar , after finding nemo and Ratatouille.

Shrimp sandwich of Mos Burger
it fell bland, and it didn't taste like the one Wendy's served. The shrimp and the patty did not complement each other and it lack the toppings. I really miss the sauce they put on burgers. ho-hum.

The story
it is about a girl who inadvertently ( more of forced then become her bright idea ) joins a band. So without any knowledge of playing an instrument,she sets out her heart out to learn how to play it. fast forward, just a day short when they are going to perform for the crowd, the original band steps in and took the reins from them. They are left with a crowd-less performance. So their journey begins. The girl was a bit hesitant about her love for the craft, but she caved in and encouraged the other player to grab their musical instruments and form a band, and thus Swing Girl was formed.

The review
I watched a fairly young ueno juri playing the protagonist and hiraoka yuta, encouraging the girls to come and play for the band. the story is simple, the first part was plain hilarious - down from the time they got their instruments and started forming the band, but as the story slipped by, it wasn't as vibrant as the first part anymore. It became boring and seemingly they ended with a practically predictable ending. The story's ending could have jazz up a little , adding some romance between yuta and ueno, or probably have a person realize that jazz meant up something for them. It didn't end on a high note. but i guess, the movie is still worth a try - the first part, i mean.

I will now make it a habit to post reviews on the current show I've watched ( if time permits )

The episode in the cafeteria should have actually called for a kiss. ( everything was just perfect, the dialogues were unimaginatively sweet )
In the school cafeteria ..
Kotoko : " Is it ok for me to be with you by your side ? "
Naoki : " I said it, didn't i "
Kotoko: " I'll never ever leave you again till I die"
Naoki : "I'm prepared for it .."

aww..sweet, but in any case, they should have put a kiss there and not at the end.

highlights of the episode :
- Kinnosuke proposing to Chris
- Naoki and Kotoko makes up
- Keita's confession to Kotoko ( but Naokijumps into action .. so basically the whole school knows about Naoki's love for Kotoko)
- Chris getting burn in the cafeteria
- Kotoko leaves home because Naoki and her had a fight ( Naoki even slapped her.. who's the one who is jealous here, huh?!)

The best part of it was actually when he said , "THe one who needs her is me ." " I feel true to my self, when Kotoko is beside me.awww. " ( makeup scenes --after the breakup scenes are better)

the episode, in general I feel, is quite fast as oppose to TKA. They are actually rushing and piling up a lot of things like Kinnosuke and Chris' proposal , they made all that 3 episode long rolled just into 1. ) So I think they will be skipping Rika as well ( Naoki's cousin ) . They skipped the whole cultural thing. They fused old lady + Nobu.

I can see clearly now.. the rain is gone ..
Engine is a f1 series by Kimura Takuya. He plays, Jiro, a worn out driver making a comeback in the circuit ( because of some circumstances ) . When he returns to Japan from his less successful stint abroad, he is faced with new predicament that is his home is now turned into an orphanage by his adopted father. He must learn how to deal with the situation and make a successful comeback in his career.

I thought watching Engine will make me able to appreciate the f1 race more, but actually it did not. The story focuses on his life and how he deals with the situation that comes in his life ( his life now revolves with the kids, so at a time, he "indirectly" helps these kids ) . His chemistry with Koyuki is quite ok even better when koyuki was paired up with matsujun( but the way they put the love story was quite... err .. fairly typical of any jdrama. it's not a love story you know, so it can't be help actually )

I wouldn't recommend this series if you are not a Kimutaku fan. You actually have this nostalgic feeling when watching any Kimutaku series, and this series gives you just that. A feeling that you missed Kimutaku. Heck, I've slept till the wee hours just to finish this story even though I knew what happened in the end. This story is fairly typical, and its not one of the best series of Kimutaku. I missed when Kimutaku is playing some romantic series ( I think his magic is now gone, and people look forward to watching the younger people ) My concern with the newcomers, is that they can't act. So its a whammy.

I need to watch a romantic series. Watching jdrama still gives me this cold feeling.

Should I know watch Change?

I had a fun time watching some international stars coming to our country ( was laughing out loud actually , some of the questions they did ask were simply ludicrous but in anycase, that's what the fans would want to hear, no matter which station you are, no matter which country you might be, that question will always resurface. If I were the idols i would definitely be irritated! )

All in all , i've watched 79 titles in the span of 10 years.. ( 37 from Japanese dramas, 27 from korean dramas, 15 from taiwan dramas . and it's still counting .. )
My Top 7 ( in no particular order )
1. Lavender - i find this story very endearing.
2. Silence - of course there's vic.. and then there' s the story. You will just grow tired of the executive secretary/COO and the "brother" for your antagnonist. Koreans are better in this arena.
3. Frog Prince - light hearted series, chemistry is quite all right.
4. ISWAK - the manga gives justice to the characters, the story is great
5. Devil beside you - everything is ok in this series except the ending.
6. Meteor Garden 1 - of course if the manga is great, this should be one too.. thus it's a phenomenal hit.
7. They Kiss Again ( i just hope the ending is satisfying .. )

Just middle :
1. Why Why Love - the chemistry of characters is good but the story, am a bit half hearted
2. My MVP Valentine - love the soundtrack, but i hate the ending, choose people, you need to choose!
3. Hana Kimi - scenes were sweet, but please take out Ella! and of course, the ending episode, I don't need a nonesense episode in this series. I've had enough!
4. Love at the dolphin bay - the songs were great, the story so-so. the characters .. umm.. not enough chemistry with Ambrose and Angela.. it would have been better with Tammy ..

Somewhat middle to not going to watch :
1. A Chinese Ghost Story - I have already shun watching period drama. this was different , I know, but it was long and the story and ending was not that satisfying ..
2 Westside story - must have been the 5566 fever. It was not that good nor was that bad. Again, wallace hyo was also here.. .
Will not watch again series :
1. Peach Girl ( I caught the meteor garden fever and I decided to watch it )
2. 100% Senorita ( Because of wallace huo, i watched this series. Storyline, no, who can be revived with a simple pound on the chest, after doctors have already declared him dead.. huh? Really -- be realistic, i know you want it to be overly dramatic, but come on ..)
3. Romantic Princess ( the first part until episode 07 is watchable, the rest, forget about it )
4. Meteor Garden 2 ( one was good, this sequel, nah!)

Going to finish soon :
1. Tokyo Juliet ( if only i can just put episode 2 )
2. Love Contract ( bored with episode 4, if i can only just put episode 05 )

1. Corner with Love

May 09, was the date that I would be picking up the passport. It was supposedly going to be a quite planned day for me, but then again with the nitpicking of the people around me, it became unplanned. Well, they made me leave the house at 11:30AM. I thought it was way early, but I was actually wrong ( and for once, they were right ) . I arrive there( Gate 3) around 12:30, I decided to skip lunch, thinking it would just be a short trip . But of course, lo and behold, the queue was quite long ( it become unmanageable around 1PM - the time where i was supposed to show up ) .. anyhow, so I waited in the queue for about 1 -1/2 hour before they finally let us in. Actually, whatever you will be doing do not go out of the line, walk straight where all the people are headed, no side trip whatsoever, you are all going for the same purpose, claiming the passport. I on the other hand, did the opposite, stop on the gate where the releasing was suppose to take place, but then again ,the guard didn't let the people ahead of me through, so I went back to the queue again ( well of course, now am a few people back ) . So i waited again ( good thing i was armed with a book ) , it was a 2 hours wait before we were ushered to the releasing room. In the releasing room , you have to drop your receipt on the counter where your surname is( the counter has letters symbolizing the surname ), they will look for your passport. Wait for your name to be called. Be warned, the department does not have any PA system, so you have to listen attentively. That's about it .. the final step ( I guess, if you have time to kill, and you want to spend your time outside your house, and not be forced to do anything else, then better claim your passport yourself, otherwise, have it delivered - really the convenience. This was such a time waster - but then again, i'd rather be doing this rather than something else right..haha.. )

Summarized steps:
1 - go to gate 3 ( wait till the guard signals you to enter )
2 - follow the queue, no matter what
3 - inside the releasing room, drop the receipt on the counter of your surname
4 - wait for your name to be called
5 - get your passport
( This will really take 2-3 hours of your time, so be wary )
best time to go , around 2PM I guess ( there were no lines by the time I went out ) but then again, you might want to hurry up a bit ( as unforeseen circumstances might happen ) . I think the office opens at 8AM and closes at 4PM

Go to gate 2. Go to any window for verification of application form . They will tell you if the pic don't match.Arrggh.. had to change the pictures twice. 1 because of the background color. it should be oozingly blue in color ( the same color of the ink of your ballpen, it should not be lighter) . The second, it should be really glossy and no fine lines in between ( this was the next flaw on the 2d picture, thus another retake )

After gate2, if the auditorium is not full ( which in our case was) , pay to the cashier in gate3. ( A fair warning, some of these ladies are not happy to do additional tasks, the auditorium people are the one to handle this affair ) . wait till the guard let you enter the auditorium. You have to really queue and wait for about 3 hours ( good thing i have an mp3 and a good book with me ) . After encoding, you will also be fingerprinted. On Encoding, it is also optional to be fingerprinted. so you may or may not proceed to step 4.

In summation :
Step 1 - verify of documents in window 1 -10 on gate 2
Step 2 - pay to cashier
Step 3 - encoding
Step 4 - fingerprinting ( different people)

You will now have to wait on the date indicated on the receipt to get your passport. Be sure to bring your receipt when claiming. It will be for another week before I can claim it ..

A fair warning. you only take pictures. inside the auditorium or on the bus near the gym. Don't even attempt to go nearby studios offering the same service. Better safe than sorry.

It just so happens that I have some spare time, I decided to renew my passport.

If you are by any chance going to renew your passport, you have to go through this process.
Go to DFA basketball court, the line stretches to as far as 3 blocks. You have to really come in by 3am otherwise, you can only set an appointment ( just like i did, it took me 1-1/2 hour in line and finally I was able to get an appointment, will still have to go back again next week :( I wasn't that irritated as I brought a book with me, finished Prince Caspian. whoppee.. now I do wonder what book shall I bring next week.. )

Step 2 : would be going to gate 2 ( wait in line again for the passport to be processed ) More after next week ..

When queue-ing up for an appointment :
1. you must xerox the filled up application ( one for the DFA officer and the other for your copy, which is to be submitted on Step 2) . If you don't like to queue up, better use the appointment system ( I have yet to see how this works)
2. The pouch for placing 2 passport pics should be transparent ( as this is also reflected on the xeroxed copy to be given to the DFA officer )
3. Bring drinks, fan, food and book/mp3/psp,etc -- it's definitely going to be a long day ..
4.Application forms can be downloaded on the site : http://www.dfa.gov.ph/download/index.htm or get forms from guards at DFA.
5. Be sure to have your pictures taken w/royal background. DFA charges P150 for the pics. ( I was able to download the form and took a picture )

To go to dfa: just go down LRT-Libertad station, and hop on to one tricycle/jeep going to DFA. You can also walk since it's just 4 blocks away.

travelling to marikina should have been no sweat for us.. one of us made a blunder that made the whole trip to Marikina seemed like forever..
We went to Marikina via this route:
Board Bus to Cubao - P 17 each ( took us 1 hour to get to Cubao )
From Cubao board jeep to Marikina ( took us around 30 mins ) P 10 each ( We board, Bayan + SSS Village )

Our first stop was at Shoe Avenue ; Thinking that this was the place where they sell shoes. But lo and behold, it was just a namesake. We were hungry at this time and we ended up finding the first convenient place to eat, Jollibee. After eating our hearts off, we toured what seems to be the market. Shoe Avenue is near their public market, so we walked just a block of it. Since we didn't find any shoes in the market, we went to the next best thing to find shoes, the factory outlet. We went asking around people on how to go to the factory outlet, but, instead we end up going to Sta Lucia east grand mall ( I pictured Sta Lucia east to be a really grand mall. I was deceived. HP in Vito Cruz is far better than this mall) .After just staying in an hour inside the mall ( well i felt like it was only 20 minutes ) , we went outside to search for places. Like a bee channeling on a flower, I saw this factory outlet. It was an ITTI Shoe store, so we went in, but alas, we hadn't found the perfect shoe. So we snoop around some more. Good thing that there's a National Bookstore nearby. Time to really dig in those books and find some travelogue on Marikina. It proved to be a useful visit. We also asked around the guards by the way . We from the book that the good place to go to Marikina is the Marikina Riverpark and the riverbank center ). With that research, we proceeded to Marikina Riverbank center ( from Sta Lucia, just board a jeep to Cubao, it will pass through the front of Marikina facing Marcos Highway, you just need to go down the bridge, and walk straight turn left, till you find the riverbank center). Finally, we arrived at our destination. I was astonished on how many factory outlets were there for shoes, there's Converse ( I want those Chuck Taylors!) , World Balance, and Nike's . You need not wait for December for these shoes to be marked down..arrgh, because of budget constraints, I had to really stick to what I came here in Marikina for ( those closed shoes ) . Well , the day ended with me buying a pair of shoes ( yay me! the style was neither good nor bad ) .
The whole experience was of course tiring. There were of course some regret that I didn't tour Marikina, I always wanted to go to that Shoe Museum or even to their city hall .. ( I was pretty much like a tourist). I felt Marikina so reminded me of our province up North. It was clean, people there are all law abiding. a fresh new look at the Philippines if you know what I mean.

To go to Marikina ( the right way ) :
Board LRT 1 to D.Jose ( in our case, it would cost us P 13 )
Board LRT 2 to Katipunan ( in our case, it would cost us P14 )
Ride a jeepney going to Marikina - Bayan, Calumpang are your best bets to go inside Marikina ( normal jeep fare P 7.50 )
Go down where you can see the Save More billboard ( that is where the riverbank center is )

Things to do before going to some city:
do research first, know which places to go to ( this is really a must either when travelling abroad or the metro )

So this was a fairly impromptu trip, went to Bulacan to scour some of the resorts there with a friend. We ended up just making a trip to 1 resort since the travel was long ( around 1-1/2 hour from Cubao ) and that there are no other nearby resorts ( why are they too far apart from the other, need a car when scouring to places ) . Am not naming the resort since it was not too special. The resort is not that inviting and is very crowded. There's no privacy ... I guess I was looking for a quaint and quiet place to relax. I guess this is not the resort to go to.

To get to Malolos, bulacan :
You can board bus via different terminal
1 - Baliwag transit in 2d ave ( near our place. I was waiting for a baliwag bus with a sign going to Divisoria on the way home, but I couldn't find one, so we had to contend ourselves with Victory Liner bus )
2 - Baliwag transit in Cubao ( we boarded at this location )
Couldn't board at Victory Liner - Cubao terminal as there aren't any bus going to Bulacan.
3 - Victory Liner in Monumento - LRT station. This is where the bus stopped on the way home. I guess you can board here when going to Bulacan.

Going home :
3 - Victory Liner whose route to MCU/LRT
4 - Balwaig Bus whose plight is to Divisoria

travel time : 1 -1/2 hour from Cubao to Bulacan
45 mins from Bulacan to Monumento ( it was kind of a fast return trip.. )

SideStory : ( How I got hooked watching this drama )

This series is one of the series closest to my heart. It introduced me to the world of Jdrama ( I even fought a cousin for this one, I remember it was late night, happened on a school night, he was bent on watching MTV ( that's why I detest them before ), i had the vcr set to record the show, it was the very last episode .. and then , there was some altercation due to the fact that I had been watching the show before, I told him it was the very last episode.. but he didn't heed, in the end I had to watch this show from a tape, good thing that a friend of mine was also watching .. if not, have to wait years for this -- got a hard copy of the show as well on dvd..haha.. ) anyhow, this series now has a Taiwan version shown 2005 - 2006 ( and the show was a hit - I got to watch it sometime Nov 2006 , I know it was a good show having watch the Jdrama of it before )

The Summary :
How do we put it? Well this is a story of a typical high schooler, Aihara Kotoko, who has for the longest time has a crush on Irie Naoki. Because of circumstances ( an earthquake prompted the newly built house of Kotoko to fall to the ground, close friend of Kotoko's father saw the whole thing on TV and decided to invite them over to their house to stay), Kotoko and Naoki are living under the same roof . ( unbeknown to Kotoko, the friend of her father is the father of Naoki ) Changes had been underway after the arrival of Kotoko to their house. For the time that Kotoko lived under the house of Naoki, Naoki came to be a different person. Could love ensue between these two.

Some News : .. and whoooppeee..there's going to be an anime for this.. it will be shown on April 2008. ( this would give me another reason to try anime once more )

... am melting bit by bit by Lee Jun's (Only You, played by Jo Hyun Jae oppa ) sweet words ( surprisingly by his action as well, he left her because of her sister's warning,"Don't make her miserable like mom" .. aww.. ) .. and yes, I am watching a Korean drama. I wonder why i hadn't watch this before.. haha.. maybe I just watch too many Japanese drama that made me really cold like an ice queen ..

2 Korean series and I had already been this hyper. I hadn't had this much fun since I've forgotten, wonder I was watching shows with serious undertones. Why do I always fall for stories that has a man who is really cold at first then becomes warm towards the end ( Only You .. hmm..what was the other series ) .. Why do I always fall for stories that has childhood beginnings and with them growing old throughout the series ( Spring waltz, autumn story, stairway to heaven )? Why o why . but then again, I really miss those stories. I missed those triangles, and I missed to tacky, spiteful antagonist ( Sometimes they really get on your nerves and sometimes I just don't know how bad they become, they're like to sides of a coin, at times they are sweet and innocent on the person they love and they become fierce as a tiger at their competition ) . That's Korean drama in a nutshell.. and I've watched my 28th series since 1998.. and oh .. am a fan for almost 10 years now .. and it started with an unknown drama Mr. Q with lee min jong ...

Memorable dramas for me :
Spring waltz - really enjoyed the ending, and I've never felt anything as light as this while watching a series. Although this definitely has a serious tone. It's the second best season drama. I like the scenery .. it's really breathtaking and it will take you to a place where you felt like a child again.

Only You - well this series made my heart thump a bit ( only a bit ) but this series definitely melted the iciness in my heart ( oh bless this series ) .. I find it odd that this series has a serious tone to it yet I find myself laughing out loud with the scenes. The first episode, you will feel a bit drag and bore , but as the drama progresses it will grow on you. Oh and the dialog here is just so sweet ( coming from an ice cold man and a man that never knew what love meant , doesn't that make you love him more )

Question : Why does in this series , family comes first? why do they need the approval of parents for both sides? The man was already man enough to leave the family and the engagement they forced him to .. why does it hard for them to accept him? why? why ?

Autumn Story - the best season drama but this was a heavy tearjerker. It was beautifully crafted.

Stairway to heaven - like i said i was a sucker for dramas that has childhood memories in it .. and i do wonder what life would have been with a childhood sweetheart..
so should i really watch Stained Glass or 9 tailed fox , will be watching 9 tailed solely because of Hyun Jae, will be missing him since he hasn't done any series since ballad of seo dong .. and that because he's going to the army this year..waaah.. )

Full House - Simply enjoyable. fun to watch .. ( oh .. yea.. this is also one cold man turned to warm )

Hotelier - was hyper when I watch this xmas of 2003.

Beautiful days - I gave up my sleep because of this show ( do i really find this really interesting and memorable ) .. well ( oh yea.. another series with Iceman .. )

Goong - Iceman is in this .. this is really a fantasy turned to reality, what if you are destined to be someone to be married to a royal prince

Love Letter - Jo Hyun Jae was here.. and so did Ji Jin Hee ..

Dae Jang Geum - even though this one was a historic drama I really enjoyed it.

Sweet 18 - like Han Ji Hye and Lee Dong Gun's chemistry ( too bad they're not together after 3 years )

First up the updates, I've been a industrious couch potato that I spent most of my times sitting in front of the television. ( since computer in the house is pretty much taken , I have to content myself with the dvds that I bought .. )

Proposal Daisakusen - don't know how to react after watching this series. I was like that was all!

Nodame Cantabile special 2 - now this is what we're talking , although was caught off guard by some of the scenes ..
Feb has been month of Kdrama, currently watching Spring Waltz. still 8 episodes away from the finale. but so far, it's quite ok. I was just caught aback on how the lead guy (Jae Ha) fell for Eun Young, it was like a blink of an eye that Jae Ha fell so quickly for Eun Young. didn't know also the circumstances leading to this. More after I finished watching the drama ..

Was going to post how November was such an auspicious month, but then again.. maybe I'll save it on another post.. right now, am really tired, mentally exhausted ( actually .. didn't know that a test like this would make me feel this way, at least I'll be more prepared to take the test Level 3 next year , at least I know now what to expect, am just really not sure where I'll take the exam, I'll know by June where I am taking the exam, just hope everything falls into place, next year's entries might be a little bit adventurous, as I venture into life as an independent individual - although I do have some trepidations.. on with the post .. )

In translation ( as probably in my old age, I might forget what I have written, not unless I'll be in the profession of translating materials - which when taken into account, I should at least test until Proficiency Level 2 ) - Today, I woke up at 6am, then I ate breakfast. 7am, I head to school. Am a bit afraid. From 9-12:10, I took the test. 12-1 took a walk around the school ( it was really reminiscing, as this was where I studied college, they installed cameras along the walkways these day, a lot has change since, haven't been there since 2004 ) . By 2pm, we went to MOA. We ate lunch, played arcade games, (window) shopping and then went home. It was really tiring. I thought after taking the proficiency test, some big burden would be lift off my shoulders. But by the end of the test, I felt numb.Probably, because I was shocked at chodai ( listening), I was able to get some of them but not all.. and I was really not that confident that I passed it with flying colors ( but I guess I did, but not how I expected it to be.. haha.. was really aiming to be one of the people topping the exam, I could only wish for it ) .. the grammar part, I had a lot of doubts ( I just erased a correct answer, and placed it with a wrong one.. grr.. I hate myself for doing that! ) but I guess it was just ok. ( but after the exam , my mind just went blank, couldn't recall most of the test questions, was also shocked that I wasn't able to double check on some of the answers ) I just hope that I pass this proficiency test ( but regardless of what happens, next year am really going to take Level 3 exam, I just really dont know where I am going to take it.. here or abroad? I also wished that I still have my old study group. I really learned a lot from them, self-studying can be lonely from time to time, not unless I do find a good Japanese school abroad .. haaay.. life.. I do wonder why I didn't take this exam earlier, I do blame myself for this!)

Things I learned today (taking the test) :
(1) Write your name and registration number on the test booklet ( I almost forgot to write it )
(2) Write your name, registration number and birthdate on the answer sheet
(3) There's always a line! Line went from LRT to St Joseph's entrance hall.
(4) Test starts at exactly 9:10 and ends well..depends on your proficiency test, Level 3 and Level 2 ends the same time. Level 1 , i think around 1PM. For level 3 and level 2, 12:30 I guess..
(5) Bring snacks, you might get hungry in between test, It is really that draining ( It has been awhile since I took a test )
.. Am tempted to write some of the questions but due to confidentiality clause, I would not do so ( so until then.. haha.. ) but there are sites for it, so it would be easy to just recall..

Finally finished Hanakimi(Hua Yang Shao Nian Shao Nu)
It was in this final episode that I began to wonder when Ashiya's true identity would be revealed. ( Actually I was expecting it to be revealed somewhere in the middle of the episode, when it finally reached the ending , I thought that maybe they really wont tell it at all but they really kept the audience at their toes , with every hint that they would finally reveal their true feelings to each other ... It was definitely a very well played ending .. I really thought everything would be revealed during the broadcast) .The dialog was really good. hands down. (I was really up on my toes deciphering each of their dialog, I had my dictionary with me all night to look up for the words, darn my Mandarin is getting a bit rusty, need shows like this to brush up my lingo again. Mom should definitely proud that I am voluntarily watching a Chinese drama. ) The ending definitely made an indication that there could still be a sequel to this (soon but not now, I guess, they are downplaying the news that there won't be a sequel) .. I guess I can say I really enjoyed it sans the horrendous acting of the protagonists ( haha.. but I guess that can't be helped really, for some, it just one of their early works) there are still a lot of improvement in this series. What I didn't like was the way they drag the ending. The ending was not what I expected it to be. Not the ending that I would have wanted for the series. It has definitely a lot of loopholes. A lot of loose strings. As what I had surmised earlier, they kind of patch everything up. everything was really unordered ( esp on nearing the last few scenes, of course i know they would put up a lot of absurdities/ interludes before reaching the climax) but was that even necessary? Overall, I guess, I can say that .. hmm.. it was not that bad, nor was it that good. But I guess, if there would be a sequel, I would definitely watch it ( just for the sake of continuity).

^ Taiwan dramas really tend to prolong everything and tend to include a lot of unnecessary things. The reason why I still watch it is the fact, that they are more romantic and expressive when it comes to their dramas. Comparing Hanakimi and ISWAK to their JP counterparts, can be said that it's more warm and has a lot of "heart of the girl", that's one thing Jdramas tend to miss (even though how romantic the scenes should have been, it's been repressed. I actually wonder why a lot of shojou mangas end up that way) . Taiwan dramas tend to adapt the original idea of the writer (that's why they are romantic, they are bold) . I actually do wonder if the mangas were written by the Japanese, how come the dramas that they are making are not that romantic. ( I could have blamed it on the male dominating society that they have, that these guys - this male population , have a hard time expressing themselves romantically, even though often times they play a fool of themselves).

The feeling is a bit overwhelming as I watch what I thought was a boring series. The Japanese version of this show was really a bit cold.. and there a lot of romantic moments in this series.. I do need to grab hold of the manga ..

Comparison of the Japanese and Taiwan version:
Japan version
- short and concise
- has a lot of colorful characters
- has a lot of great looking and great acting actors definitely better than their Taiwanese counterparts (exception for one on the looks but not on acting, acting credit goes to Japan team)
- very mysterious, they made a character really hmm.. complex and reserved.

Taiwan
- long but a lot of colorful/romantic moments
- very true to the manga ( darn it.. should read the manga.. wonder if this has an anime )

Of course, the series that I'm talking about is Hanazakari no Kimitachi e ( which was shown on Japan just recently.. hmm.. Summer 2007, while the Taiwan series was shown Nov 16 - Mar 2007 )

What I hate about the Taiwan version : ( you can't really help but compare the two)
- The lead girl, Ella ( there's something really about her that I can't put my finger on), I have no qualms that she's a great singer however.. as Ashiya Mizuki. I really like Horikita Maki better.
- Jiro Wang. ( hmm.. but with those abs..haha) Of course, Ikuta's acting is far better ..
- Wu zun's acting... very typical of a Taiwan actor ( only goes for the looks), sorry but it's true. Guess , he still can be forgiven as this is just one of his early works. He can greatly improve.
- very dragging. not liking the supporting cast . Tennouji was really big. I really like the Japanese version ( Dorm Head 2 , Nanba Minami ( hiro) , Sekime, Nakao ) ..
What I like about the Taiwan version :
- the moments of course.. more romantic ! :D Plus points.. that's what keeps me from tipping off the bed.
- Wu Zun .. another reason to keep me from drowsing off

What I like about the Japan series:
- a lot of character interaction. Very colorful moments.. happy times.
- Ikuta Toma's version of Nakatsu still ranks best ( than Jiro's)

What I dont like about the Japan version:
- Too few if not, nil romantic scenes/moments. ( You dont know when the moment ashiya and Sano's character developed) ...

My dream cast for this series ..
Ikuta toma as Nakatsu, Horikita Maki as Ashiya, Wu Zun as Sano ( but please drop the acting)!!

what I hate about Taiwan series in general,
they rely on good looking guys without acting experience to boost their dramas. I eally wish they could choose actors not just on their looks but their acting prowess as well. Onegai! or better yet ..train them to be better actors..

It's been a week since I last saw civilization.. just kidding.. well, since I last got out to work. Yes, you heard me I had 1 week vacation, sort of since I just got out of surgery. Time flies so fast, you really have a hard time catching it. With 1 week of a time that I had, I really thought that I could do many things, maybe relax more and really stay away from the computer ( I guess I really don't have that kind of luxury, since (1) I use the computer to watch series (2) I use the computer to download the series (3) I use the computer to browse for upcoming series ... ) It still pretty much revolves on watching series. (And am really running out of series to watch)

During the vacation that I had , the series that I finished watching, First Kiss, Kurosagi, IWGP, Beautiful Life. and before that the series I watched was Orange days.
The reason I watched IWGP was because of Tsumabuki Satoshi , but then I guess he wasn't the lead there but I still I discovered other J-actors there such as Nagase Tomoya, Yamashita Tomohisa. So then I decided to watch Kurosagi for kicks, and yearned for more Yamapi series after ( The first Yamapi series was Nobuta wo Produce, IWGP and Kurosagi, that's why am downloading Proposal Daisuken)The thing with First Kiss, it was a toss up between Remote and the series, but since Remote was softsubbed and First Kiss was hardsubbed ( I do have more option to watch hardsub) I guess, First Kiss was the definite choice, there of course , I discovered Hiraoka Yuta .. and I do yearn to watch PropDai ( because Yuta is also there as well) .. I know that the list would still grow ..

Reviews for doramas will follow... if I still got the time.. geeshh.. and it's running away again.. need to work on time management.. tomorrow's another day and the day after tomorrow is a work day..

I guess this is my nth post on TV related matters. I guess I can't get away from the fact that tv/computers are a big influences in my life.. well that's where I get most of my information anyways.

I definitely missed House. Finally was able to grab hold of this season's episode. Forget how much fun it was to see Cuddy - House - and Wilson team up again. As for this season's surprise, House will be getting a new team. Wonder how the rapport will be. The previous guys ( House's old team) will be hired as .. well .. not on House's team but on other departments of the hospital. Guess we will be seeing them still.. I really thought they were dunzo. Will be watching Prison break soon.
Have watched Heroes, and I was quite disappointed with the new season. The second season didn't deliver as well as the first ( when you'll be really amaze).. but I guess they are just on their first few episodes.. I think there will still be more characters, and probably more plots to unravel as the story progress..

Tried Orange Days (オレンジダイス), the story seemed good. though there were dull moments from time to time. A lot of familiar faces in the story. There's Kou Shibasaki, Tsumbaki (Waterboys) , the assistant from Pride, Ueno Juri, the guy from Gokusen , and Kashiwabara Takahashi , his role and manners here are so gay-ish. I missed his ISWAK days.. seems his flair vanished after watching the series ( and I can't even put him into characters other than his Zhi Shu days.. )

Well. apart from my job being a drama .. there's also another drama hovering in my life.. watching J-doramas that is .. Have finished about 1 drama per week before
Finished with the ff. series (most are Kimutaku series by the way )
Hero ( very light .. boring from time to time since it revolves on the same plot .. and I did watch the Special hoping for some reunion .. but then again it was only at the last moment.. well, there's a movie anyway )
Long Vacation - Kimutaku and the girl didn't share the chemistry. The relationship was obviously laid before them already, it's a matter of materialization ..
Pride - I think this one among Kimutaku's other drama have more story. The lead girl and guy share the best chemistry. I just really hate the ending .. geesh.. what a way to spoil the mood ..
HanaKimi ( jap version ) - The kiss at the end was very very awkward, look forced as well . the series has some moments but other times well , basically it's the same old stuff
Yamada Taro Monogatari - was looking for some romance in this series, I guess there's nil. Although there were a lot of brokeback moments (esp on the rooftop scene on the last episode.. geesh.. gazing through each other's eyes with twitching lips .. I had just about all the admiration of Sakurai Sho and then he does that?! really ... ) . This series is a bit enjoyable .. will miss Yamada's family and their spendthrift ways ..
.. more dramas to come.. and I'm not even done watching them yet.. Too many shows to watch in so little time..

Now a lot of question had been answered. A live web chat with Ms Rowling was at hand yesterday. I now know how Neville possessed of the Gryffindor sword ( I always had a guess that it was through the sorting hat). So Ginny had become a professional Quidditch player before turning to a senior correspondent for Quidditch. George named his first born son , Fred. Luna marries off to another naturalist. Wonder what happened to Cho? Teddy is a Metamorphagus like his mother. He was raised by his grandmother, Andromeda. Bellatrix's love is Voldermort (no wonder). Bellatrix killed her niece, Tonks. Dopohov,killed Lupin (awwww..shucks!) Kingsley is the head of the ministry of Magic , with Harry heading the Auror Department. Harry is now an advocate of Snape (well.. at least Snape deserves that his valor be well known, after sacrificing so much .. )

Finally the long wait is over. the last book of Harry potter has been released last July 21. There was media frenzy all over. It has been said it's on of the fastest selling book, selling approx. 5,000/minute(or was it seconds). Anyhow, of course, there's also leakage of the book from the net (which a thousands of us benefitted, mine included - although I would really go out of my way to get the book, only time will tell when I will grab hold of that book). It took me just 2 days to finish the book (in 12 hours -- of course, it's a weekday so I have to go to work. I could have finished it in just over a day I guess. 12 hours/36 chapters, my new record in finishing a book, but I guess nothing tops my record reading OOTP w/c I finished in 3 days , school was included in the count, as I need to go to school as well) .. Musings in the book, I find the book a fitting conclusion to the saga. I've heard of someone who dies in the book, but it was never true. Don't believe in everything that you hear. (Actually I shun away from spoilers but this was actually accidental)I've had guesses on who dies in the book but all of my guesses had been wrong except for 1 (practically a wild guess). I imagined that the ending would be bloody and none of the characters would be spared,but I guess JK Rowling had really some way of tying up loose ends. Just this morning, TOday show featured JK Rowling in one of their segments, tempted to skip work because of this but then again, there's still this internet which I had a glimpse of what the interview would have been. SHe's planning on creating a Harry Potter encyclopedia, I wish she would just do another book , different from Harry Potter, (but i guess evidently, readers will always compare it to the more successful book she had written). THe book really took some surprising turns, never imagined that one character from the book (hint: Harry named his children after him) played a huge role. I was actually saddened and expressed the same sentiments as when Dumbledore died ( oh yes, in any case, I think most of you guys have been spoiled with it.. and HBP is coming just around the corner.. well , shooting begins September, and will be shown Nov,21,2008) Never knew that he took the risk , he really cared that much for the woman he loved and took upon himself to look after and care for her child (although of course on the previous books you'll really despise him as much as Harry does). There had been a lot of excitement during the first few chapters, a lot of fight sequences too. The plan to get Potter out of Pivet Drive was ingenious. Never thought they could pull something like that but of course, there are bound to be fatalities, one of them another character that I have been impartial to during Order of the Phoenix and Goblet of Fire. He's the one , that is mysterious from the beginning, resilient from time to time. A brave warrior, died fighting for what he believe in, and then of course another journey begins.

On Harry Potter's checklist:
- Attend bill and fleur's wedding.
- Have a nice 17th birthday.
- Go to 12 Grimmauld Place. Find information about the Horcruxes.
- Go to Ministry of Magic. Get locket from Umbridge.
- Go to Godric's Hollow. Find Bathilda Bagshot (the author of their History book)
- Get caught by Firenze and thrown into Malfoy Mansion
- Rescue Luna, Olivander and Griphook.
- Go to shell cottage. Seek refuge. Bury Dobby. ( really pitiful what happened to him, risked his life in order to save Harry)
- Go to Gringotts. Get the cup.
- Go to Hogsmade. Meet with Aberforth (well this was accidentally, he was the one who saved Harry from the death eaters at this point. I wonder if James Cromwell can do the part of Aberforth) . Assemble the army (not quite, but when they heard about Harry Potter going to Hogwarts, DA immediately assembled).
- Go to Hogwarts. Find the diadem of Ravenclaw.
- Destroy the locket, cup and diadem.
- Go to Whomping Willow. (well they find another character here dead).
- Go to the Pevensive, see what the dying character wishes to convey (very heartwarming indeed.)
- Kill Naguini (well on the list, but Neville killed it)

Fave characters from the book (most of them died anyway) : Dumbledore, Sirius black, Severus Snape ( a convert after reading Prince's tale, there's so much into his character, liked the way his character was created. he had the deepest and complex character among them), Mad Eye Moody, and Hermione.

It's already July!! half of the month had passed and I am still wondering where have all the time gone!!
TV Updates:

- Jordin Sparks wins this year American Idol. Blake's rendition of "This is my now" was horrendous. The song really wasn't meant for him to sing. In any case, few of his songs were good.

- Finish Lost season 2 and 3.. A lot of catching up to do I say. The last episode for season 3 was a bit interesting, and you would really yearn to watch season 4 when it hits the small screen. Now , I just need to catch 24 season 4 and 6.. still haven't had season 5.. It's a good thing that the writers of this show have an end in mind, and the show will be able to wrap up properly (Heard there could just about 2 more seasons for Lost). The last season which they say would supposedly end this 2010 or was it 2009..

got nothing else to watch this moment .. although I still have tons of show to watch. Even if we go without cable, I would still live off from watching my dvds/cds and the list just keeps on growing.

Personal
Today was the busiest day of my life. I went to 3 different banks. Each was very time consuming. I also went to my former company, which I had assumed had already set up all the papers that they will give me and the papers that I need to sign. BUT NO .. they still want me to go back there to get the stuff that I need!!! The one thing that irritates me is the fact that I have to wait for 5 months for this one. Those whole 5 mos, why hadn't they prepared the things I need, 5 mos is a long month, too long even! They are experienced and they most probably know what people who resigns need. I didn't know resigning was such a hassle. (So I still need to make another trip to that company, which will have to wait for 2 more mos.. damn them !!!) I should really get angry at the Accounting Department and they have the nerve to be irritated and raise their voices against me!! I should be the one complaining. And one more thing, the company before had promised that if you reached a certain maturity with the company, they will reimburse the unused sick leave.. guess what they lied ( well they say that , it's hold off for the moment) ..really.. if this is the way they are treating their employees ( past employees?!!! If so, when I go to a new company, I'd better ask them on how complicated resigning is)and they made me sign a waiver so I can't pretty much do anything right now (except to wait).. They are sooo clever..

So it's that time of the year again where I bet well..should have been the final 3 teams for Amazing Race: All-Star and the final 3 for AI. Since Amazing Race: All-Stars is finished, the final 3 teams were : Eric and Danielle, Charla and Mirna, Dustin and Kandice. THe final leg of the race was pretty lame, there was no exhiliration nor any mind boggling puzzle to answer. (Was really disappointed) but good thing the team I rooted for won. Eric and Danielle.. For, AI the final 3 contenders are really good (thank goodness this season didn't disappoint unlike the past season). I could pretty much see a 2 girls in the finals. Jordin Sparks and Melinda Doolittle, although Blake Lewis is an equal competitor however, vocal wise (although he is unique and willing to take risks) he is not that good compared to 2. Am rooting for Jordin (for now)... will still have to see the one song the two contestants are going to sing to determine who I am rooting for.

.. the truth behind my usernames ( be in it livejournal, yahoo, gtalk) is that these names are just based on whatever my mood ( be it in Anime mode, english mode, jseries mode,etc).there's practically no significance whatsoever, got my names it out of the hat! As for the history of this username: prixiedixie, it was actually a mistake to put an "r" between p[r]ix.. should have just read as pixiedixie. I just added an "r" to have a little twist on it.. Pixie because at the time that i created this journal w/c was in 2004, i was hyped with those enchanted/supernatural beings, dixie because it rhymes with pixie and I liked one of the songs of the Dixie Chicks (incidentally one of the characters in Heroes, Nathan Petrelli[played by Adrian Pasdar, you can see the guy in Judging Amy] is actually married to the Natalie Maynes, one of the singers of the country music band Dixie Chicks)
.. so if I were to have a username today, it might be PB (prison break) related, as I still can't go over the fact that I had already finished watching PB season 2 in a matter of 4 days ( am now in a waiting mode.. waiting for season 3).. still have this PB hang over

Intestingly I have other usernames, joekris_pikachu ... which you guessed it .. hybrid of my name + my favorite character before (2000) .. the original hybrid of my name has already been taken(joekris), so am left with my buddy, pikachu .. :P

So officially, cravings for jseries have baned.. all because of one series, Prison Break .I blame myself for not watching the show earlier (I could have used that Holy Week break) and the conscience is telling me " I Told you so.. ".. I knew and have heard about the show's success since 2005 and I did have season 1's complete episodes for a year now.It's only this time that I finally took the time and put the disc onto the player.. and I can tell you the show did not fail me.. the show did live up to its expectation ( well it has an appeal to the women demographics.. who can blame me. Who can escape the charm of Michael Scofield).. now I spend most nights awake trying to finish the season. I'm in a "catch-up" mode trying to finish the season 2 in about 3-4 days. Am getting warmer now .. Wonder what I should watch next ..

so this means that I'm not nerd enough to be a nerd.. haha

The whole trip was irritatingly enjoyable. By irritating, the country was hot and humid. Not a single rainfall in sight. It was uberly hot, that it is not condusive to long walks. (although I may say, that I can stand long walks under the warm sun).

Thailand is not much different from the Phils. They are more or less twin sisters. Most of the places reminded me of Quezon City, Mandaluyong and Makati.

Their Skytrain really is huge, but the price is quite expensive. To go from Siam Station to Mo Chit Station costs us 30baht (60 baht for the roundtrip)
BKK is only just about 1 hour delayed from the Phils. So the adjustments didn't seem that much evident ..

Tips on travelling to Thailand.
1. Bring lots of water. 1500ml per day is not enough. I had consumed 1500ml in just half of the day. This is to quench the thrist and prevent heat stroke.

42 The Chatuchak weekend market is just an option, probably those first time visitors to Thailand would want to go there. But for the inconvenience and the hotness of the place, you might want to prefer to go to the mall. Their mall are incomparably cheaper than what the weekend market has to offer. Well, am talking about juan luna plaza type of mall found near the pratnunam area.

The platinum mall and the krung thong plaza on Pratanum are good source of clothing. We had a last minute shopping marathon,and I guess we bought a lot of clothes from those two malls.
The MBK mall certainly a place where you can find cheaper thai food (those food to bring home to coworkers or friends).The MBK mall is more like our version of Greenhills. Siam Discovery Center, Siam Mall, and Siam paragon are just some of their high end malls comparable to the Phils' Ayala or Greenbelt Malls. Suan Lum Night bazaar , their place is also hot, and their price is exorbitant as oppose to the things you find in the weekend market. In fairness to the place, it is one of the most organized market that I've seen.
3. The river cruise at night though exorbitantly price at 1400 baht/pax is an eventful experience as we get to see the sights at night. It was breathtaking seeing the temples glimmer in the night. Most of the 5 star hotels are also one of a kind.
4. Don't even bother going to the half day city tour. It is not worth it. The whole city day tour consists of going to 2 temples, the one temple was that of the buddha who is literary made out of gold and the the other one was the standing buddha. Getting to the temples is kind of interesting as we were shown around the official residence of the king and queen and the offices of their ministry of defense and the ministry of education, but that is just about it.
5. Bring suntan lotion you need it to fight off the very harmful rays of the sun. (thus preventing you from getting sun burn).
6. Wholesale begins at 3 pieces above, so the more companions you have the merrier, you just need to convince your other friends to buy the same stuff as you are.
7. The clothing has a fairly relative price compared to our stores here at Divisoria, though you are assured of the quality of their product.
9. Stores there rarely allow customers to fit their clothes. So you have to be sure of the size and of the style of the clothing that you will get.
9. People there rarely understands English. It is also hard to find cab drivers who know how to speak English.
10. Find a hotel that is near commuting area. Our hotel was really obscure, there were no shops near the area nor any skytrain. So it was fairly hard for us to go anywhere.
11. Insist on a meter esp when riding a taxi. If the taxi knows you are a tourist, they will really find a way to insist a contract esp if they see that you are carrying big bags. We had of course a run in with quite a few of choosy cab drivers, but in the end we were able to find some good cab drivers.
12. Bring anything that can ease the hotness of the climate. Seriously, the one thing that made me deter from going back to Thailand is the weather.
13. See the elephant show and the crocodile show. It is really one of a kind show and you get to ride on the elephant.
14. Malls at Thailand close early , so your night life is cut short and there's really no way but to go back to your hotel and call it a day, unless you go bar hopping.

Our whole itinerary is composed of :
Day 01 : - free day -
We arrive at around 2PM and spend the 45 minutes travelling. We discussed with the tour guide the itinerary
day was spent shopping at the nearby malls, the Platinum mall, eating also at the Platinum mall, ordered their crepe and the Thai fried rice, which was delectable. Went to Siam Center and MBK mall. All of their mall closes early. They start packing up at 9PM.

Day 02:
The idea was to go to the half day city tour from 8-12. We were ushered to the different temples.
with 1hour 30 mins drive from our last destination, we arrive at Sampran Zoo. The lunch buffet was delectable as were able to try a variations of the Thai food, the noodles and sea bass were really great.
At 1:45 , the elephant show started. The show lasted for a little about 30 mins then we strut our way to the elephant ride. The ride was superb. It was not as high as I thought it would be, but the whole ride was a bit wobbly.
After the elephant show, we went to Bobae Tower, the shop really closes early but we were able to at least shop for some clothes (the store opens at 3AM and closes at 5PM) . THe tower is near Prince Plaza Hotel.
at around 6PM, we went to the Suan Lum Night Bazaar, it was a 30 min drive from Bobae Tower. Our cutoff time was 7:30PM. Afterwards, we proceeded to the river cruise. it was also another 10-20 minute drive from the night bazaar.
The cruise only lasted for 1 hour and 45 minutes, it was really a night to remember. The buffer dinner was sumptuous as I tasted different kinds of food. there was also jamming on the cruise.

Day 03:
We started the day early as we headed to the Grand Palace. The place was really huge. We arrived at 10past 8AM and the palace didn't open until 8:30 AM. The whole palace is huge and it would take about 2-1/2 hours to visit all the places inside.
At 11AM, we headed our way to Wat Pho. It was about a 700m walk. I really won't believe it anymore when they it's just walking distance. it was fairly a long walk from where we were. It would only take 1 hour to visit the reclining buddha inside the Wat Pho temple
We took a taxi towards the Siam Paragon, had lunch as we proceed to Chatuchak Weekend market. It was really unbelievably hot in the area. The place is disorganized. it was a good thing that we had a map of the area. We were able to jump ahead of the pack and see just the places that we needed.
At 6PM, we headed back to Siam Paragon and had dinner. We then proceeded to siam Discovery center and called it a night. We arrive at the hotel just about 8pm.

Day 04:
This was the day of the marathon shopping as we know that we only have about 2 hours of shopping time before we depart to the Phils. (darn it our airplane was delayed for 1 hour 15 minutes, we could have use that time to go to other places and shopped some more).
We headed straight up our hotel and went to the nearby mall, Krung thong plaza , as Platinum mall was still closed. The platinum mall won't open until it's 9AM. We had time to kill and went to shop till we drop on the nearby plaza. By 10:45AM, we headed back to check out of our hotel.

Lamentations and Observations:
The food court was different from our usual food court, you have to change your money, minimum deposit of 100 baht, then they will give you a card. You can use the card for the purchases, and you can reimburse it afterwards. i wonder if you would consume it all can you keep the card. I hadn't had much luck as I never consume all my card.
We weren't able to take the ferry to get to and fro Wat Arun and other destinations like Chinatown or Little India.
They really revered and respect their king. There were also a lot of shrines at malls where people would pray.
Thailand is really one Buddhist country with temples at the corner of the street.

Some good hotels that you might want to book on your next trip to BKK:
1. Pratunam Princess - the only hotel that is located alongside the MBK mall.
2. Arnoma Hotel - hotel near the shopping arcade, siam Discovery, Siam Center, Siam Paragon and theMBK Mall
3. First Hotel -1 block walk from the hotel is the Pantip It plaza and the platinum mall .
4. Asia Hotel - Your hotel is right smacked at the Ratchewi Station of the BTS Skytrain.
5. Baiyoke Suite Hotel - near the Pratunam market (this will be your last option)
6. Amari Watergate Hotel - near the malls also .. taxi drivers can distinguish this area as well.
7. Prince Palace HOtel - hotel near the Bobae Tower, a wholesaler .

Don't even think of going to these hotels:
1. First House Hotel - although it is situated near the area of the Pratunam market .. the place looks old
2. Baiyoke Sky Hotel - the place has cockroaches.
3. PJ Watergate HOtel - the accomodation of this hotel is great however the place is far from those tourist spot and/or shopping areas. The hotel is fairly new, not all taxi drivers know this place.
